چکیده
In diflerential geometry curves are characterized as mappings from an interval to the plane. In topology curves are chamcterized as a Hausdorfl space with certain countability properties. Neither of these definitions captures the role that curves play in vision, however, in which curves can denote simple objects (such as a straight line), or complicated objects (such as a jumble of string). The difference between these situations is in part a measure of their complexity, and in part a measure of their dimensionality. Note that the map defining such curves is unknown, as is the proper way to represent them. We propose a formal complexity theory of curves appropriate for computational vision in general, arid for problems like separating straight lines from jumbles in particular. The theory is applied to the problem of perceptual grouping.

Mental Representations of Lyrical Prose
The article analyzes mental representations of Russian lyrical prose texts. The texts demonstrate collective memory engrams that are defined by cultural and historical legacy of the nation and authors’ creative world perception. In architectonics of a lyrical prose text, sense perception reveals itself in accumulated underlying meanings and wisdom conveyed by expressive means. The author’s inte...

A Novel Approach to Background Subtraction Using Visual Saliency Map
Generally human vision system searches for salient regions and movements in video scenes to lessen the search space and effort. Using visual saliency map for modelling gives important information for understanding in many applications. In this paper we present a simple method with low computation load using visual saliency map for background subtraction in video stream. The proposed technique i...
